Last Day of our favorite event!

Hello all! First off- I want to thank everyone here! All of the tremendous love, support, smiles, laughter- all of it! This is what keeps us going. You are here reading this- thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Today is the last day of our 11 day stretch at the Coastal Carolina fair (we are right in the agriculture building- go in, take a right, we are in the corner) and it doesn't feel real with how good we have done! We are happy this is an annual event for us- we love seeing everyone and meeting new faces, sharing our love for our goats with you!

Next year- we are hoping to expand a little bit. We are purchasing a second (or a third) booth as we are CRAMMED this year trying to operate out of one booth. We were signed up for two, but when I was asked to confirm, I said "nah- it will be good. One is plenty". That was an oversight on my part. Next year, we plan on selling luffas that we grow on the farm to go along with to soap, dog collars and leashes made on the farm, sourdough we make, and various items made with sourdough starter discard (cookies, muffins, ect.). We also plan to have some farm shirts/ Bethel Forest bags, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats. As much goat/ Bethel Forest "merch" as possible. We have had a lot of requests for laundry soap, deodorant, and beard balm- if I can make a formulation that I like myself, I will offer it. I put a lot of time, money, and research into my formulations so it can take a while for them to hit the markets. Trust me, though I think all of that will be really cool!

Additionally, we are in talks with the AG "department" at the fair about bringing in a few of our milkers next year and doing a milking demonstration to show everyone a slice of our day-to-day life with these magnificent creatures. If all goes well, I will definitely post about the ins and outs of when and where you can catch that! I'm already having fun putting things together... a year in advance. I am finding it hard though to decide what girls we want to bring.

Also- enjoy this adorable photo of our latest addition to the family. This is Callie, she is a standard aussie. She is 12 weeks now, but that photo was taken at about 8. She is a ham, and we love her dearly! (And yes- she does have two different colored eyes. That was a fun surprise when we picked her up!)
